TAWI vacuum lifters
Ergonomic lifting and moving of loads with minimal physical effort from the operator.
How does a vacuum lifter work?
TAWI vacuum lifters use vacuum to grip, lift and lower loads of up to 270 kg, while the operator simply controls their movement and height. The system is driven by an electric vacuum pump, with no need for compressed air. Different gripping tools allow sacks, boxes, drums, sheets and other loads of different shapes, surfaces and weights to be handled.
Advantages of vacuum lifters
- Ergonomics and safety – they reduce the physical strain on workers and the risk of injury caused by repetitive lifting.
- Higher productivity – they allow faster load handling and shorten handling times.
- Easy operation – intuitive control handles allow precise lifting, lowering and positioning of the load.
- Flexibility – different vacuum grippers allow loads of different shapes, sizes and materials to be handled.
- Fits the workspace – can be mounted on pillar, wall and bridge crane systems.
- For demanding conditions – stainless steel versions and configurations for special industrial requirements are available.
TAWI VacuEasylift VM – Multi-purpose vacuum lifter
For sacks, boxes, buckets, containers, boards, sheets and other loads of different shapes. Available in several versions, with capacities up to 270 kg and a wide choice of gripping tools.
TAWI TP – High-frequency vacuum lifter
Designed for fast, frequent handling of boxes, parcels, baggage and other lighter loads. One-handed control allows a very fast cycle of gripping, lifting and setting down; the current series is designed for loads up to 65 kg.
Mobile TAWI vacuum lifters
When the load is not always at the same workstation, mobile versions are available: MOP – Mobile Order Picker for order picking and work alongside pallet racking, MHL – Mobile High Frequency Lifter for fast handling of boxes and sacks, MCU – Mobile Container Unloader for unloading containers and trucks, and MJC – Mobile Jib Crane, a mobile pillar system that can be moved between workstations as needed.
What can we lift?
Sacks
Paper, plastic, woven PP, multi-wall and valve sacks of different sizes and weights.
Boxes and cardboard packaging
Cardboard boxes, packaging, parcels, shipments and finished products.
Drums, kegs and containers
Plastic, metal and fibre drums, kegs, buckets and canisters.
Panels and boards
Wood, metal, glass, plastic and other sheet materials.
Rolls
Rolls of different materials and other cylindrical products.
Industrial components
Batteries, machine parts, automotive components and other products.
Food products
Cheese blocks, frozen meat blocks and other products that require a hygienic design.
Baggage
Suitcases and other baggage at airports and terminals.
The right gripper is chosen according to the weight, dimensions, surface and porosity of the load and how it needs to be lifted or positioned.
The lifter and the TAWI Lyftman suspension system
The vacuum lifter is suspended from a TAWI Lyftman jib arm or crane system, which lets it move freely between the pick-up and set-down points. The rail and jib system is designed around the layout of the workstation, the required working area and the structure of the building, and can be mounted on a pillar, a wall or the ceiling structure. For applications where a fixed installation is impractical, mobile versions are available.
