Logistics and distribution
In logistics and distribution, goods are constantly being unloaded, lifted, moved, picked and stacked onto pallets. Our solutions reduce manual lifting and make the flow of goods through the warehouse and distribution centre safer, more ergonomic and more efficient.
The problem
In warehouses and distribution centres, much of the work consists of physically moving goods between logistics points. Boxes, sacks, parcels and other loads are unloaded from containers and vehicles, sorted, picked to order, moved between pallets and finally stacked again for dispatch.
The weight, dimensions and shape of the loads often change within the same shift, while operators are expected to keep up a continuous, fast pace. Particularly demanding are the places where the same movement is repeated many times – for example in manual container unloading, order picking or stacking goods on a pallet.
As the pallet fills or empties, the working height changes too, so operators often work bent forward, lift loads from the floor or set them down above the optimal height.
The result is greater physical strain, operator fatigue and processes whose efficiency depends too much on the physical capacity of the individual worker.
How we solve it
Container unloading and goods receiving
For manual unloading of non-palletised goods we use handling solutions that take the weight of boxes, sacks and other loads. The equipment follows the operator into the container and lets the goods be carried in a controlled way to a conveyor, pallet or other inbound logistics position, with far less manual carrying.
Order picking
Mobile lifting equipment follows the operator through the warehouse and lets them lift boxes and other products directly from different rack positions. The load is then moved in a controlled way onto a pallet, trolley or other transport position, without repetitive manual lifting and carrying.
Palletising and depalletising
Vacuum and other lifters make it easier to lift boxes, sacks and other products one at a time between pallets, conveyors and storage positions. The operator guides the movement of the load while the equipment takes its weight, which makes work on both the lower and upper layers of the pallet easier.
Lifting goods to an ergonomic working height
Lift tables and platforms keep pallets, containers and other loads at a more suitable height while work is under way. As the pallet fills or empties, its position can be adjusted so that the operator spends less time bent forward and has easier access to the goods.
From goods receipt and storage to order picking, dispatch and loading – we tailor our solutions to the characteristics of the load, the intensity of handling and the specifics of logistics processes.
