Palletising and depalletising products

Boxes, sacks, buckets and other products are still often stacked onto pallets or taken off them by hand. Our solutions take the weight of the load and make palletising and depalletising faster, safer and more ergonomic.

The problem

Palletising and depalletising are common final or first steps in production and logistics processes. Operators have to lift products one by one, stack them on a pallet or take them off at different heights and move them towards a conveyor, machine or the next workstation.

As the pallet fills or empties, the working height keeps changing. The lower layers mean bending, while the upper layers can mean lifting loads above an ergonomic height.

With a large number of cycles per shift this work quickly becomes physically demanding, especially with heavier or awkward boxes, sacks, buckets and other products.

The consequences are greater operator fatigue, an uneven work pace and increased physical strain throughout the shift.

How we solve it

We use ergonomic assisted-handling solutions that take the weight of the product while the operator controls its lifting, movement and positioning.

The load is picked up with a suitable vacuum or other custom gripper, lifted from the pallet, conveyor or work surface and placed in the desired position in a controlled way.

The reverse process works the same way — taking products off the pallet and moving them towards the production line, conveyor or another process point.

Depending on the workspace and the process, the system can be mounted on a jib, an overhead rail system or another structure that gives the required working area.

The solution is adapted to the weight, dimensions and surface of the product, the pallet layout and the desired work cycle.

The equipment takes the weight of the product, and the operator simply guides it between the pallet and the next stage of the process.

What our solution gives you

Less physical strain

The need for repetitive manual lifting, carrying, bending and working above shoulder height is reduced.

A more even work pace

Less operator fatigue allows a steadier palletising and depalletising rhythm throughout the shift.

Safer product handling

Controlled gripping and movement reduce the chance of dropping the load and of uncontrolled movements during stacking.

A more flexible workstation

The solution can be adapted to different products, pallet heights and the layout of the production or warehouse space.
