How does TAWI Protema work?
TAWI Protema is a mobile, battery-powered lifter that the operator steers by hand and moves between workstations, while an electric drive lifts and lowers the load. Depending on the model and the gripping tool, loads of up to 250 kg can be handled. The modular design allows different heights, chassis widths and grippers, so the lifter can be adapted to the specific load and process. Besides lifting and transport, suitable tools allow the load to be tilted, turned and rotated and positioned precisely on a machine, shelf or workstation.

TAWI Protema is based on a modular concept: the basic mobile lifter is combined with a gripping tool adapted to the specific load.
Depending on the application, the following can be used:
Platforms
For boxes, crates, components and loads lifted from below.
Forks
For containers, components and other loads that need support from underneath.
Mandrels and roll holders
For gripping and transporting rolls through the core.
Coregripper tools
For gripping a roll from inside the core and placing it precisely on a shaft.
Drum and container grippers
For lifting, tilting and controlled emptying.
EasySqueeze / rotating grippers
For gripping the load from the sides and tilting or rotating it.
What can we lift?
Rolls
Rolls of paper, film, labels, textiles and other materials – including lifting, turning from horizontal to vertical and precise placement on the machine shaft.
Drums and containers
Metal and plastic drums, buckets and other containers that need to be lifted, moved, tilted or emptied.
Boxes and crates
Boxes, plastic crates and containers lifted between pallets, shelves, conveyors and workstations.
Industrial components
Machine parts, batteries, electric motors, assemblies and other heavy or awkward parts that need precise positioning.
Tyres and wheels
Tyres, wheels and other cylindrical products that need to be lifted and positioned without carrying them by hand.
Special loads
Loads of non-standard shape, for which a gripper can be developed to suit the specific product and process.
