Less effort in moving drums every day
STS drum trolleys let a single operator safely move steel, plastic and fibre drums without rolling, dragging or tilting a heavy container by hand. Depending on the type of drum and the way of working, there are classic trolleys that grip the drum, trolleys for non-standard plastic containers, and low mobile platforms for transporting and temporarily storing drums.
A full industrial drum can weigh several hundred kilograms, and rolling or tilting it by hand makes the load harder to control and increases the physical strain on the operator.
With classic STS trolleys the drum is gripped by its top rim, after which the trolley frame tilts so that the drum's centre of gravity sits above the wheels. This greatly reduces the force needed to move it. On the DTC01 model the force needed to steer stays below approximately 20 kg even with a 350 kg drum.
