General information on lifters in logistics

TAWI vacuum manipulators for warehouses enable the optimization of the workplace and facilitate the work of workers in warehouses and logistics-distribution centers when handling loads. Manipulators are used for sorting, packing, order picking, palletizing and depalletizing.

Using vacuum technology, loads such as cardboard boxes, packages, bags, buckets, barrels, etc. they can be safely and efficiently transported from the place of collection to the place of disposal without effort for the operator and without the risk of injury. With vacuum technology, the load is gripped, raised and lowered with the help of a vacuum, which is created by a vacuum pump powered by three-phase current and without the need for compressed air. With other technologies, the load is only gripped by vacuum, while an additional hoist is required to lift it. With vacuum technology and TAWI solutions, by adjusting the valve on the control handle, regulation of the vacuum level in the pipes is achieved.

The advantages of using manipulators in logistics are manifested through minimized physical effort of the operator, increased efficiency in handling goods and increased safety in the workplace.

Different systems are available to solve the problem of handling goods in logistics, depending on the place of use, the type of manipulation and the load being manipulated. Types of manipulators

TAWI MCU Mobile Container Unloader enables safe and efficient handling of boxes and packages inside shipping containers or trucks.

The product features a modular design, complete mobility, an integrated vacuum manipulator for ergonomic handling of loads, and a conveyor belt that transports cargo from containers. The maximum weight of the cargo that can be handled is 50 kg.

Experiences from practice show that unloading cargo from containers and trucks is a big problem for companies and their employees due to great physical effort, which leads to employee injuries, absenteeism and, consequently, to an increase in the cost of unloading goods. With the TAWI MCU unloader, heavy work can be done by one person without physical effort.

TAWI MCU in standard version can come with powered and non-powered conveyor or pallet dock. The frame and console on which the high-frequency vacuum manipulator is located are electrically adjustable in height. In addition, the product is equipped with useful accessories such as a light for better visibility, a fan or a heater.

The machine has complete mobility because the battery is used as a drive when moving around the logistics center or warehouse, which is charged while the machine is connected to the three-phase electricity network when handling goods. The battery is charged automatically.

TAWI MOP Mobile Order Picker is a mobile vacuum multipurpose manipulator that facilitates the handling of heavy loads at different locations in a production facility, logistics center or warehouse.

Using this system, the manipulation of loads weighing up to 80 kg is significantly simplified and facilitated for workers. Inside the housing there is a battery that serves as a power source for the vacuum pump. Battery capacity depends on a number of factors, but the approximate capacity is three to four hours of continuous operation. The product has two slots on the bottom for the forks of pallet trucks or forklifts, which makes it easy to transport from one place to another.

Other parts of the manipulator are identical to the standard version of the TAWI VacuEasylift multipurpose vacuum manipulator, which means that loads are received using vacuum, but also raised and lowered. The manipulator is hung on a two-meter-long articulated arm, whose position on the MOP frame can be changed.

Since the lifting unit is a multi-purpose manipulator, the TAWI MOP can be applicable for handling various types of loads as the lifting tools can be quickly and easily changed.

Using the special version of the TAWI EasyReach tool, it is possible to reach the load inside the pallet racks.

TAWI MHL is a mobile vacuum high-frequency manipulator that enables quick and efficient manipulation of loads weighing up to 50 kg. The compact design and easy portability around the plant, warehouse or logistics center allows the manipulator to be used in different places.


The product comes with factory-connected components of the manipulator, which are equal to the parts of the standard versions of the TAWI TP manipulator, and a socket for powering the vacuum pump. The device is easily portable using pallets or forklifts. The compact design with a built-in height of 2.1 – 2.6 m enables applicability in confined spaces, containers, pallet racks, etc.


The high-frequency manipulator is installed on a carbon articulated arm with a low installation height, two meters long.

TAWI VacuEasylift and TP fixed manipulators are used in logistics for the safe and efficient manipulation of cardboard boxes, bags, packages, buckets, barrels and other loads from the ends of belt conveyors to pallets and vice versa.

The vacuum pump, which is powered by three-phase current and does not require compressed air, creates a vacuum in the system by which the load is received, as well as raised/lowered. Vacuum lifters can be adapted to even the most demanding situations since, in addition to the standard ones, there are also special gripping tools.

The maximum weight of load that can be handled is 270 kg. The advantage of vacuum manipulators compared to other types of manipulators is the speed of load acceptance, safety, ease of use, extremely low operating costs and maintenance costs.

Vacuum technology is ideal for the safe manipulation of loads without the risk of damaging the product or jeopardizing the safety of workers. The main parts of the vacuum manipulator are a three-phase vacuum pump, a filter, a flexible air hose, a flexible lifting tube with a control handle and a gripping tool, which is sized depending on the load being manipulated.

For the full functionality of the vacuum manipulators, compatible rail systems or arm-consoles are supplied along which the lifter moves. Guides with wheels are made in such a way that they slide smoothly along the profiles of rails or arms, enabling the free movement of goods exactly to the desired place.
